ARTEMIS Mk.III

Radio Signals Recognition Manual

ARTEMIS. In a nutshell.

In short, ARTEMIS is a signals hunter software and a useful aid for radio listeners! The analysis of real-time spectra (from your SDR, for instance) is made simple: you can take advantage using one of the largest RF signal database (with over 400 records). Compare several signals properties (such as frequency, bandwidth, modulation, etc.) and verify what you are searching for through a waterfall/audio sample. A collection of filters allows you to narrow your search, making the identification of unknown signals, odd buzzes or weird noises way easier.

HOW DOES IT WORK

Capture

Every fruitful hunt starts from this first most important step! Try to gain as much information as you can: Frequency, Bandwidth, Mode and so forth. Even the smallest detail could be decisive!

Inspection

Inspect the unknown signal with many useful tools: compare the waterfall, listen to an audio sample to discover similarities or use the advanced filtering functions to reduce possible erroneous matches.

Identification

When only a few signal candidates remain in the top list, try to cross every information you have in combination with the most detailed description that is readily available on sigidwiki.com...now should be easy to understand what you are looking for.

EVERY LITTLE HELPS...

Hi, I’m Marco, the founder of AresValley.com

I don’t like ads at all but this is the only way that allowed the website to survive in the previous years. This is a sort of experiment: we removed advertisements from the pages of AresValley.com and we want to try if only the spontaneous donations from the users can cover the annual cost of the website.

Help us to sustain the hosting and domain cost of AresValley.com. The goal has been set to 30€ to cover the annual cost of the website.

Thank you!

Marco
